A valley in the state of California in the USA surrounded by high stone walls on which waterfalls flow. Numerous trails lead to the surrounding lakes. For a reason it is one of the most visited national parks in the USA.
Yosemite is a dream place for nature lovers. Here you can meet wild animals and admire the wonderful landscapes. It is definitely worth staying in the park or its surroundings for 2-3 nights and exploring its most interesting corners. However, if you have less time, even half a day is enough to admire this place. However, you should remember that there is snow here in the winter and not all routes will be open. It is the same with the waterfalls Yosemite is famous for. If you want to admire them, it’s worth visiting the park in May or June.
Here is the list with biggest attractions of that national park:
Tunnel View – the main viewpoint over the entire valley. You can see from here, among others El Capitan, the Bridalveil waterfall and Half Dome in the distance. Car parking is available on site. Going further and entering the tunnel you will reach another viewpoint, Glacier Point.
El Capitan – 2,307 m a.s.l. rock, popular among climbers. If you do not plan to go to the top, it is worth at least to see her closely. Preferably with El Capitan Meadow.
Glacier Point – a viewpoint from which you can admire, above all, Half Dome. In the summer season you will get there by car passing the Tunnel View on the way.
Half Dome – due to its unique shape resembling a half dome, this rock is basically a park symbol. It has 2693 m a.s.l. and you can climb it on several different climbing routes.
Mirror Lake – a seasonal lake that dries up in summer. Many postcards from the park are created here, but believe me, you’ll take them everywhere in Yosemite.
Waterfalls: Yosemite Falls, Bridalveil Falls, Vernal Falls and Nevada Fall.
These are obviously not the only attractions of the park. On the spot we can also see the redwoods which belongs to the 25 largest redwoods in the world with a circumference of almost 30 meters on the ground!
You should also note that entry to the national park is paid and costs $ 35 for one car.
