Saint Helena, abandoned in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, is one of the most remote inhabited corners of our globe.
The capital and the only city on the island is Jamestown, located in a deep valley, inhabited by about 3000 inhabitants. One of its main attractions is the so-called Jakubowa Ladder – a steep, 183-meter staircase leading to the fort rising on the hill above the city.
